Who: All
scouts and interested adults of Troop 150 who work a minimum of 4 days of
Christmas tree recycling presale days.
What: The Winter Adventure is a Troop 150 tradition that goes back almost to the
beginning. We will fly to Los
Angeles Friday mid-day and get to bed early.
Saturday morning we will be the first in line at the gates of Disneyland
and many of us will not leave until they kick us out after midnight.
Then it is up early again for a similarly excitement-packed day at Magic
Mountain. Monday finds us either at
Knott’s Berry Farm or Universal Studios before catching a late
afternoon/evening flight back to Portland. This
is nonstop energy, excitement, and camaraderie and some of the best of
what Troop 150 can offer.
Where:
Stay in a hotel near the entrance to Disneyland.
When: Leaving
Friday, February 17th, 2012 at 11:30 AM on Alaska Airlines
Returning
Monday,
February 20th 2012 at 11:24 PM on Alaska Airlines
Why:
Because it is more fun than you
could imagine one weekend possibly being. It
is also a great reward for how strong the Troop has performed over the course of
2011. The pictures and stories
don’t hurt recruiting either.
How: Scouts will pack a carryon bag only and turn in uniforms in advance in an effort to minimize baggage fees and hassles at the airport. Any interested scout/scouter should turn in a $100 check deposit. Securing cheap airfare will determine whether we can go or not, so commitments are needed. Once committed, you will be responsible for covering the cost of the plane ticket whether you go or not. Your deposit check will get you on the roster.
Cost: $495.00 Per Person
Adults: Dave Anderson, George Gardner, and Bill Preisz.
